When my t100 gets warm it won't go into 4wd. I believe it may be the A.D.D. Solenoids(vacuum switches vsv2 and vsv4). I have verified that they have the corrrect resistance and flow, but the local toyta repair shop said they could still be malfuntioning, cause I can get it to lock in when I remove one of the hoses on the diff. Can anyone help me find these vsv valves, I really don't want to switch over to manual lockin hubs?

Dealer can get this $300-400, I don't know if there are any aftermarket. It's an assembly with all the VSV's mounted thereon.
There is a lot of experience with this among other board members. There are several switches and at least one relay involved in the system, too.
Do you want any manual pages, wiring diagrams to help you with testing?

Thanx, I was afraid of that cost! I was hoping to find some used a.d.d. solenoids! Do u know if I can use different valves from say for ex. Tacoma's or Tundra's? Plus, do you happen to know the oem part number. Many websites I have visited need that number.

As to the part number it's different depending on whether your truck is a VCK20 or VCK21. That info. is on your door sill sticker.
85440-35010 = VCK20 08/92-08/94, various 4-runners 08/88-01/95
85440-34010 = VCK21 08/94-07/98
That information may not be the most up to date or complete.
It's likely that the same valves are on other yota trucks, too, with a different bracket.

You can bypass the whole thing with a toggle switch. Just be carefull about where you place that toggle switch, as you'll grind the heck out of the ADD coupler if you flip it while rolling down the road.
You can check the action of the switches and relay with the engine off. You'll hear the relay clicking under the dashboard, and you can check the air flow through the vacuum switches in the engine bay by blowing/sucking on the tubes.

I went with Warn hubs and could salvage the solenoids off my '96 SR5. Truck has 90K and solenoids were retired at 65K. How hard are they to remove? Maybe you can talk me into it.

I've got Surlykid's old VSV's too ('97?). If you need them, PM me. Verify that they are the problem first though.
