Need a Spot
|
Mondays objective is to make my own setup to eliminate the factory airbox. I want that space to put a second battery and I think it should be simple to build. I am going to put the air intake on the passenger side by crossing over the valve cover and putting a cone filter on the end of a piece of pipe. There are two 1/2" pipes to weld into the main pipe and the rest of those little lines are not needed if you plug them so there is no vacuum leak. If the pipe is too tall where it crosses the valve cover I will just flatten the bottom of it. The support can be bolted to a couple of places on the valve cover. Only real problem will be finding the correct cone filter to fit the pipe. As stated above K&N is over-rated IMHO. Paper element with a foam covering is the most I think I'll need unless I am going into a very dusty enviroment. Well we will see what Monday brings. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
