Hiya guys...I'm back. Truck runs superfalous, and being me, I can't leave well enough alone. Everything on the truck works...except the headlight washers. I can hear the click under the dash, I assume thats a relay or something for the pump, but the pump....just dont work. Has someone fixed theirs or at least could someone tell me where it is? It looks like its in the fenderwell behind the plastic wheel cover. Thats where the filler neck disappears. Am I correct? Since everything else works..I'ld like this to work too. Thanks guys..

Just some stupid (very basic) advises:

1.Check fuses
2.Put some wash fluid
3.Clean the nozzles with needle
4.Push the button when the engine is running

Cheers

Year & model rig might be a little helpful. <GRIN> You should save yourself from always having to indicate it by just putting it into your signature.

Other than that, I can't be 100% sure but I would expect the headlight washer pump to be under the headlight washer fluid reservoir, similar to the windshield washer reservoir.

Try wiring 12v directly to the washer fluid pump. If it doesn't work you have your problem. If it does, then it's something in the wiring leading to the pump. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I pulled my pump off the Raider, hooked my drill to the shaft and spun it that way for 2 minutes. used a little silicone lube and she works like new. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I have an 89 Raider I'm working on. I removed the reservoir, tubing, and nozzles from up front.
Does the rear spray from this reserve or from the other one? I don't know b/c currently my rear wiper and rear spray don't work, but if they come from the other I'd have parts for you if you need them b/c I don't intend on reinstalling them!

rear water tank is in the back near the door hinges. Should be a little covered cubby hole on the wall.
I noticed that on the long wheel base, I guess that is what it was.

Raider might be different

Ok Guys..I have a 92 Montero..don't know the exact designation, but its got the 3.0, its a 4 door, I would think its the LWB. Does anyone know where the Headlight washer pump is? I would appreciate it very much. You guys are great. Talk to you soon....

Body Damage is Cool
I have the exact same problem that I want to fix. I am pretty sure the pump would be on the resevoir which is inside the fender well...I am not sure if you can just pull the plastic inner fener out or if the whole fender has to come off...but I would like to find out aswell.

This is a cool as hell feature. Has anybody devised a way to add this to a vehicle that didn't come with it? Any input would be awesome (read part numbers <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />) Thx

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...
