Anyone got a better solution???

Wrecking yard for NA Montero's ?

I ran Phil's #'s (friend owns a mech shop) and they all match. I check the quarter/body/panels and they all match (JDM vs. NA)

This is definitely something that will need to be addressed, sooner than later.

I looked at a 92 Montero parked beside a 91 Pajero and the windshields to my untrained eye look identical.

My suggestion (disregard it if you've already done it) is to bring in a 91/93 or have them run the windshield part # from 90-95 US Montero's and see if they come up with more than one. I'm probably wrong, but it's possible that the windshield trim/rubber may differ from one Montery/year to the next which may explain a few different windshields.

One of the multitude of importers has to know the domestic replacement #. Just have to find a way to call/track a company/seller/individual who has already done it.

Good luck. I'm sure we'll all be in the same boat soon enough ..

ps. Another thought.. have you had them check the other windows as well ? I've seen two different 92 Pajero's with different side windows. One has AS1/AS2 DOT and the other didn't have DOT but had AS2/AS3 and both were different part #'s.

... good.. bad.. I'm the guy with the gun.
