I'm in California and looking into having the 4d55 rebuilt in my 83 mitsu pickup. I'm told there was a change in engine specs in 7/83, and that my engine was manufactured just prior to that change. Partly for this reason, the machine shop the garage is dealing with is having trouble finding parts for the rebuild. Another thread mentioned importing cylinder heads through All Engine Parts in Australia. Anyone with any other leads on parts, either imported or here in the States, or any info on the 7/83 issue? I'd also be curious to hear about any other shops that might be more willing or qualified to tackle the rebuild. Thanks in advance...
