Well, now that i've driven 3 or 4 V6 D-cabs, I must say that the acceleration is not what i would expect from a 3.6L. It must be the gearing or something. My wife's Sienna minivan and our Tribute have more punch when i floor it.

I'm still gonna try a Frontier crew cab. Not that I need it, but they even have a supercharged model just for fun.

The supercharged model has only got about 20 more horses, and 20 FT LBS of Torque then the N/A Tacos..

Put a supercharger on a 3.4 Taco...

HOLY $H!T

I have to say..You probably wont be *that* impressed with a Supercharged Frontier..They have Adaquite power, but, nothing to go boasting about.

We had a customer in the shop I used to work at, with an 01' Supercharged Frontier..

Wasn't *that* much faster then My Xtra Cab, 96 V6 4x4 5 Speed Taco. I'm sure it can pull more, but all-in-all, not that much more impressive.

That, and EVERY Nissan 3.3L V6 that I've worked on, has a leaking Passenger side Exaust manifold..

My buddy at work just picked up a new Frontier (big mistake, I know. I tried...). He was all excited about getting the supercharged model until he drove it. Aside from a little more off-the-line jump, it was pretty much identical. He ended up getting the regular V6 and still looks longingly at my Taco every morning when he parks next to me. Ha!

Thanks for the tips. I'll only look at the used Frontiers because they are thousands cheaper than the Tacomas. I want to be able to compare. I haven't driven one yet.

Now that's expensive!
