oil is the most important part of your engine.I just run the Amsoil 15W40 and man does my truck love it.

OK, I faced with certain difficulties to find syn oil, but finally found the place to go.

Anybody wants to join me in BC area? Please send PM to get the order running.

well, this is
<Amsoil>, synthetic oil brand recommended by torquemonster.

The dealer is in Toronto, so to keep transportation cost low I 'd like to get 4-5 mate together.

You can see specification here: http://www.sinwal.com/?gclid=CObRirHl0IwCFQE9hgodlwakpw

Stay in touch,

When my Pajero ends up coming in, I'd like to run a bypass filter system on it.

Have any of you used or are using a bypass filter such as the Amsoil one ? The BMK-12 is the one I was thinking of using as it's suited for small engines and has a dual filter system.

Anyone ?

Thanks,
Jesse

You should easily be able to get Amsoil locally...Napa sells it, canadain tire sells it, its everywhere. there will be a Amsoil distributor that supplies all the shops with them that you can get ahold of that would sell it for cheaper.

There are nothing in our Canadian Tire, Mr.Lub etc. (I checked with three local stores) as for Napa, I'll call them tomorrow...

BTW, what kind will better fit our diesels?

by what kind do you mean what weight??? don't run any lighter than a 15W40. Winter time would obviously be a different story. last winter I ran 0W40 Rotella, but I am not with Rotella. I will run a 5W40 Amsoil this winter.

OK, two questions:

1.Why so?
2.What kind of oil do you use Synthetic Heavy-Duty Diesel & Marine Motor Oil SAE15W-40 (AME) OR Synthetic Blend 15W-40 Heavy Duty Motor Oil (PCO)?

Thanks, <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I use diesel oil...it has WAY more detergents in it to clean all the crap out. I sometimes use 15W40 diesel oil in my gas car too. it sure likes it.

15W40 diesel

I saw in the owner's manual 10W30, I guess it is not big different, so why do you use 15W40?

Thanks! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
