because in the hot summer weather it'll give you better protection. and 15W40 is what all diesels usually run.

I saw in the owner's manual 10W30, I guess it is not big different, so why do you use 15W40? Thanks! I would not recomend using 10w30 in a diesel. A diesel engine runs hotter than a gas so it needs a heavier oil.

Thank you guys for support!
It is a last call to join me. I found dealer in Burnaby, BC.
We can go with 15W40 four gallon cans pack for 127$(for 4 persons, pick up in Burnaby or Vancouver) or I'll go alone with 5 quarts for 51$ (for myself only).
Actually, how many liters do we need for one oil change? I assumed that 5 quarts will be enough...
Cheers,

Holly Molly! It is not cheap at all! So, I have to go with six quarts = 5.676 liters. Do you think it will be enough? Or should I go with seven quarts? Thanks!

might as well get 7...you may burn/leak some and need some to top up with. I leak a bit out of my cam seal and my oil pan gasket. through the 6000km I go between changes I need to add about 1/4 - 1/2 a litre.

Pajerist, I just can't imagine that you'd have to have oil shipped in from elsewhere. Check some big truck stops, they'll def have quality diesel oil. Yes, we've got our faves, but there's more than one quality diesel oil.... shop around, and find something for a good price - its out there.

Oh, yeh! Phil, I cannot imagine too, how difficult is it. I have no time to run around a lot, but several shops were checked by myself, including Crappy Tire. So Castrol and Penzzoil are semisynthetic and I do not trust Motomaster, saw several negative feedback for Rotella that is pretty much all.
I found local dealer of Amsoil, this syn was highly recommended, so I want it. It is not cheap, - $8,45 for quart, but can go for 25.000 miles, so it is worth.
Thanks everybody for support!
