do you want a turn-key shop to do everything? or just a machine shop to do the rebuild and you drop it in?

For the machine shop- Cub Engineering/ Machining in North Hollywwod (818) 985-2100..one of the best machine shops in SoCal and have done ALL of my vehicles, my dad's, his buddies, etc,etc... Been in the valley since the 60's. Talk to

For the turn-key package, go to Japanese Auto Center in Canoga Park- (818) 716-6644 and talk to Mathew. They are the valley's best pretty much. As a matter of fact, I have to go pick up my Nissan VQ35DE block that's still sitting down there that he swapped into my Z.

Anyways, I know a few more, but you wanted the best, and these places are not expensive either. Right now, Cub is doing my Mistu 3.5 6g74 COMPLETE engine for $2100.

Thanks for the reply....... (More input would be great)

I want a turn key that does it all. I have been calling around and have been geting prices in the $1600 3year 26K mile - $1800 2year 26K range. Does that sound about right ? I do not mind paying a bit extra if I know that the quality it better. Thanks again !!!

Hey Karl,

So you ended up getting that particular one? Congrats.

Let me know if you find a good engine rebuilder around here. I may need their services eventually.

for a 3.0? that's a 'decent' price considering that the 6g72 is the most available Mitsu engine around and has the most parts avail.

I'd hope you are getting ALL new head job and valves and seats, etc,etc,etc...blah..blah..blah.. for that $$$$

My rebuild was less then that and was a "performance" 3.0

As for the shop... never heard of them... GOOGLE them and see what comes up

What did you do to make yours a "performance" 3.0 ??? And where did you have it done? I called Japanese Auto Center in Canoga Park- (818) 716-6644 and talked to Mathew, he wanted well over $2,300 for the rebuild.
