If I remember correctly, the recall covered every vehicle once. However, if your truck had already had the HG's changed for a burnt valve, etc., than you wouldn't have qualified for the recall. Also not all 3.0's were under the recall, only certain years from certain Japanese engine plants, my '90 wasn't one of the engines covered by the recall.

I would contact the European Toyota Corp, and confirm what the recall covered in Europe.

If you aren't covered by the recall, changing the HG's isn't all that hard, just time consuming. The 1993 factory service manual at the top of the forum has the info you need to do the job yourself, and there are a few of us here who have done it as well.
