im looking at new gears to get some of my power back but im not sure which ratio. ive got 32" tires and will have 33" tires whenever these run out which will be a while. should i get the 4.10 or 4.56? and how do i tell what axel i have both front and rear to see if i need a new housing? thanks

You prolly have the 3:07 gears in there now. If so you WILL need new carriers for the gears. I am a fan of too much gear rather than to little. I'd be going after the 4:56's if it were me. Big JIm <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

thats what i was thinking. what would i have to get for a new carrier? a whole new axle, which would be great because i think i have a dana 35, or something else?

The "carrier" is the holder for the spider and ring gears that fits inside the differential.
If you are going to re-gear and need to change the carrier, I would recommend that you upgrade to a full-floater axle kit to eliminate the D-35 C-clip.
