The web site is still alive and there are press relesases from Aug last year stating qualification is still in progress..

Wonder if they will have a dealership in Buffalo or Detroit?

Looks like it's got the bed of my coworker's 1984 toyota pickup on it.

I saw a number if these things in car form in Costa Rica. They look interesting at first glance but then appear obviously cheeper. When people from Costa Rica don't drive them and they are the only things left on the car rental lot, you have to wonder if we want these things here. But here is hoping that this may spur on a wave of small diesel pick-ups from other manufacturers. I'm still rooting for a Triton from Mitsu, which they seem to be talking about, despite the fact that you either love the look or hate them. I personally love them and they look awesome when you see them in real life.

The first "mainstream" manufacturer here with a small diesel in a pickup is going to sell a million of them. I'll qualify "small" with 190+hp and the corresponding torque.

My correction, I saw the Mahindra SUVs at the car lots in Costa Rica. They are ugly too and look enough like cars to be mistaken as such.
