What did they want for each seat, and can you use the stock OEM seat bracket?

The Synkro recliner seats are $450 & $480 (cloth or vinyl). I don't know about using the OEM mounts. I thought I was the one looking for info on this stuff????

The reasxon I asked the questions was to check on some facts from you before I offered any further suggestions.

About the seat adapters: Some aftermarket seats are designed to use the original Jeep seat brackets and sliders. Others require their own brackets, and those brackets/sliders are made to use the original mounting holes in the Jeep floorboard. Before deciding on which brand of seat you want, find out about the seat brackets, because if you have to get new brackets and sliders, that can add $100 to $150 to the cost of each seat ($200 to $300 for the vehicle).

You indicated that you were looking for an inexpensive set of seats, and noted that the ones you were looking at cost $450 to $480 per seat. That's not particularly cheap. My Corbeau seats cost considerably less than that, and FWDH offers several different brands and models of seats that are comparable. Obviously, one can spend $700, $800, and upwards for a seat, but there are several manufacturers that offer good seats in the $400 range. Some of those are for street, some for racing, and some are a mixture of both.

Good point! I will definitely have to check on the application and the extra cost of mounting hardware if required. Also, I screwed up on the prices. That $450-$480 was for a pair of seats($225-$240 each). I'm limiting my search to Suspension seats because I'm rather large and a hard shell with a foam pad isn't going to cut it. Are your Corbeau's Suspension? What style? I'll have to check it out, I didn't look because I figured it would be out of my price range.

Yes, my Corbeau seats are suspension, although they are not tilt. They are black vinyl, but they can be obtained in other colors and in fabric. The model is "Baja SS". I had to get new brackets, each of which included a new slider.

I recently got these when I replaced the metal tub with a fiberglass tub on my CJ7. Previously, I had the shell type seats you describe. Even those weren't bad, but when installed in the fiberglass tub, they were too high.

By way of reference, I am 6 feet tall and weigh 270 lbs, and the Corbeau seats are very comfortable for me, both on road and off road. They have slots in them for 5-point harnesses, which I use.
