I dunno for sure but the squeaking you refer to may have been the little tangs that some manufacturers use to indicate brake wear. You should also be able to hear them as you drive as a light singing from the wheels. If this is the case, you may need to replace the pads. Any number of reasons will make your jeep pull. One caliper may be sticking somehow. On older CJ's there are slide clips that require a small amount of "caliper grease", the technical name escapes me now, on these clips and the bracket and caliper surfaces for smooth operation. Since you just pulled the pads and messed with the calipers, I would think you may have a sticky one if you dont have the slide clips. Check a Factory Service Manual for lubrication points and use the proper grease. You can get small packs of the grease at the parts house that are enough to do all the brakes. Dont let this grease contact any part of the pads or anywhere but indicated by the manual. Hope this helps. Good luck. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
