i pulled the front pads off and put brake quiet on them because they were squeaking like crazy every time id brake, the squeaking went away but now my jeep pulls to the right when braking normally and hard, it never did this before, how do i fix this?

I dunno for sure but the squeaking you refer to may have been the little tangs that some manufacturers use to indicate brake wear. You should also be able to hear them as you drive as a light singing from the wheels. If this is the case, you may need to replace the pads. Any number of reasons will make your jeep pull. One caliper may be sticking somehow. On older CJ's there are slide clips that require a small amount of "caliper grease", the technical name escapes me now, on these clips and the bracket and caliper surfaces for smooth operation. Since you just pulled the pads and messed with the calipers, I would think you may have a sticky one if you dont have the slide clips. Check a Factory Service Manual for lubrication points and use the proper grease. You can get small packs of the grease at the parts house that are enough to do all the brakes. Dont let this grease contact any part of the pads or anywhere but indicated by the manual. Hope this helps. Good luck. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

hlhneast, the pads are brand new the previous owner redid them in november and about a month after i got it they started sqeaking, they're duralast semi metalic pads, i didnt get any grease on the pad and i used the caliper grease on the clips and brackets, i drove it around a couple blocks again and it didnt pull as bad as the first time, and the sqeaks came back, would i be better off using that spray on stuff that dries to like a tacky gel? the stuff i used is called caliper grease, its made by Gunk and it says it you can use it to slience the pads, didnt seem to work

Why mess with em? Just go get a new set and make sure there is a "no squeak" pad in the box before paying for it.

Makes sense to me! A set of pads for the front costs, what, about $20 to $25? and takes about 10 minutes per wheel to change. In the process of changing the pads, you'll also lube the proper places, and put the anti-squeal thingy in place.

they're brand new, they were replaced in november, tomarrow im gonna try a different brake quiet, but im more worried about it pulling to the right now because now i have to turn the wheel like a quarter turn the left to keep it going straight when stopping

Yeah, the guy you bought it from prolly didn't put the anti-squeaks behind the pads! You most likely CANNOT get the squeak out of the brakes without installing some with the proper anti-squeak pads that should come with them.
