Getting cut is an easy thing to do, I cut myself pretty good on a buddy's fenders while getting him unstuck in the snow. Mine were still pretty sharp after grinding the edge some. I had considered running a flare but I went the cheaper route. If I get stopped for the width of the tires then I will run a flare, probably a set of the Warn like I have on my '90.
