New to the board so thanks in advance for all the help and topics I have read so far.

I have run into a problem and REALY need help on this one, will try to keep it short.

So we start fixing my sons 1985 4Runner, has been sitting for 3 years for him to get his license. Started on the rear breaks (10"), not in bad shape but want it to be 100% so we tear it down. New parts in hand we start to reassemble, open the Haynes manual, and oops. The brakes are not the same as pictured, for any year. It seems that the breaks are a combination of 1985 and 1986, like the parking break cable design and the adjuster location. Could this be an error in the book? I made the mistake of not taking a pic since I saw a diagram and figures I'd done dozens of rear break jobs so why bother. Does anybody have a pic or link to an accurate diagram of the rear brakes? I could really use an assist on this one.

More front conversion questions to followà and thanks for helping the newbie.

Thanks for any help
