It's easy. I had a shop evacuate the AC system on a Friday while I worked on it over the weekend and had them re-fill on Monday. It only took me 2-3 hours.

The shop also suggested I replace the evaporator and the schraeder valves. They told me whenever they open up the system they always replace those items. If they don't, the customer comes back later complaining the air doesn't work.

There's just a dozen or so nuts and bolts under the dash holding the system all together. The hard part is finding them.
