Amen to Logan's advise on the body lift. He saved me grief on the power steering issue. Just undo the clamp and lift the reservoir out of the "v-holder". I did mine a few weeks ago. High lift jack is in order, $29.00 US on sale @ Harbor Freight.
You WILL probably bend where ever you jack up in the rear so make sure it will be hidden.
Also, do one side at a time. I did not have trouble putting in any of them but the 2 front ones (in front of the radiator) would not line up when I let the body down, so I just loosened all nuts to where they were just on, then went about 15 mph in reverse and slammed on the brakes. After a couple of times, they dropped in.
I bent the shifters in a vise and used a bolt as a fulcrum.
You will still need to remove some of the foam, but it will work.
I re-used my rear bumper by drilling holes where the studs on the bumper hit. Then you will only have 2 bolts holding on the bumper. (I'm going to make brackets so that the top two studs will have something to attach to, although the 2 studs are holding ok so far!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
It's a 4 cocktail job (about 4 hours) but it will give you great rewards.
Keep us updated with pics of your project.
