Yes you have to undo both bumpers. You will be able to re-attach the rear bumper by drilling 2 holes in the mounting bracket and use only the lower 2 studs. I put a different front bumper on but I think logansportage cut off the crumple things and then somehow reattached his front bumper.
On the rear, my rear bumper is only being held on by only 2 of the 4 studs. Seems ok so far.
