Nope- I've never replaced the studs w/ bolts. Its not needed...

At least he came down from the 3hr/side to 3 total. This kind of stuff just reinforces why I do all my own work...

The click when hitting a bump and turning is probably the steering stops making noise. Wipe some grease on all four stops and it should go away.

Hey Slimdusty,

Where are you in NC? I'm in High Point.

Regarding that low oil pressure.. mine does it too.. but it still bothers me because it didn't use to run this low. One of these day's I'm gonna have it checked.

Now when hot, running down the road at ~2000 rpm it is right on the first tick mark or just below... and sometimes I can see the full handle on the oil can. Up 'til around 60k, it would run smack in the middle of the guage when hot at similar rpms.

Got 112k on it now.

Have also been getting some clanks when I make hard turns to the right.. and notice some grease on my right cv boot. Sorta disappointed in that as I put the manual hubs on at 8000 miles and thought it would help the CV joints last longer.

The local Toy shop screwed up my rear brakes so they ended up giving me a "free" rear brake job. Still on the original front brakes and have about 37k on the 2nd set of tires (changed at 75k).

hey man my reply never went through. I live in wilm. My oil guage is the same as yours cruisin it is at the first tick waitin at a red light and the thing is down right scarey. I hope it is not about to blow the oil pump cause I just put a grand into it doing the timing belt water pump and all the drive belts and seals and a valve adjustment. But the best part is the ticking noise is GONE!!!! He said a valve and a sissor gear were out of wack and I had some carbon build up in there the thing is singin like a bird now. Also did a recall part somewhere in the steering. So of course they found my idler arm was bad to so added that on to the project. Now this truck better last me a few years of good service!!!
