I have posted starting troubles with my 1995 T100 SR5 4x4 (original post 5/16/07) and between the answers from this forum and my Toyota mechanic, I have tried to correct the starting problem but it persists.. The only problem I have is getting it started (extended cycle then a puff of black smoke with an awful exhaust smell). Once started it runs like new and I got 20 mpg on the last tank of gas.. I have changed the plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter, cat converter and O2 sensors.. I have had the MAF sensor cleaned and still the extended starting problem with the black smoke.. No smoke, rough idle, performance loss, anything but the starting issue.. I don't have the problem until I drive the truck.. The first start every morning it fires right up.. My mechanic ruled out the fuel pump check valve due to this and also ruled out the ignitor coils because of how it runs (never misses).. I just don't know what to do and it drives me crazy to have this problem, as you can tell by all the money I have spent to try and fix the problem, although the repairs made were necessary due to either worn out parts or check engine codes (cat converter).. The engine only has 85,000 on it, although the truck has 155,000, due to the original engine being replaced with an exact match due to a cheapo oil change mishap 70,000 miles ago (previous owner).. Any suggestions? I gotta get this fixed and I don't want to get another truck, it was too hard to find this one and I don't want to "throw the baby out with the bath water"...

Any help is appreciated more than you know!
