I feel like I have chased this idea about as far as I could go with it, unless everyone wants to pony up big money for a set of flares...and I do not see that happening. Someone over on Outerlimits4x4 wrote that large numbers of Gen. 1 SWB's are currently being imported into New Zealand and many have factory type flares on them. He suggested trying to locate "wreckers" who might be selling parts off some of the lesser quality vehicles.

A day or two ago, I saw a T.V. special on the Harley Davidson V-Rod plant. I noticed fenders were stamped from flat sheet metal stock over a shaped mold. It did make me wonder if molds for this sort of thing would be cheaper to have made, and if flares could be stamped from steel? Any ideas along this line?

I liked the flares from the Russian site too. Anybody here speak Russian?
