I did the same thing but with my jeep was missing the carb.
Anyway I have the weber 34 dgev and just ordered the adapter plates for isuzu. Make sure it's the two piece set up. the mounting studs on the isuzu are a little offset. No big problems other than I had to fab up a throttle cable bracket. My 86' runs great now, noticable gain in power. You'll only need the vacuum for the distributor. Then you can scrap the whole vaccum/egr system. It is a pain tracking down all the open vaccum leaks after disconecting things..
