Need a Spot
thanks to all who shared
I found some LT265/75's for a good price.....I wanted a little taller tire anyway so hopefully this will work good.

That's what I am running with 16 inch Tundra rims and am very happy with them. No rub. Just watch out for the 10% speedometer factor. find one of those roadside radar speed signs and check it out or ask you local friendly cop to check you.

Here's a link to 4Lo.com where they have tire size/gearing caluclators. You can plug in the diameters of your tire sizes and figure out exact speedo and gearing changes. Going from BFG 265/70s(30.6") to BFG 265/75s(31.8")results in a 55mph speedo reading actually being 57.2mph. This calulator is also handy when figuring out R&P changes. My truck came with a 4.30 R&P and my tire diameters changed from 30.6" to 32.7" so 4.56 R&Ps got me to a 4.27 effective gear ratio. Brew <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Or use a GPS if you have one for speed calibration.

That's what I used to prove to the Hyundai dealer that they had the wrong sensor in the Elantra I bought. Had a 10% problem with it and it turns out the custom 16 inch factory wheels sendor was in the 15 inch wheel car. So it looks like the 15/16 10% thing is appropriate for many applications as long as you are not messing with actual tire sizes as well.
