DID YOU DO THE MATH BETWEEN TIRE SIZES?
ALSO, HOW ARE YOU DRIVING NOW? PUNCHING A LITTLE MORE MAYBE TO "FEEL" THAT NEW 10HP?
ONCE YOU DO THE MATH BETWEEN TIRE SIZES, I THINK YOU'LL FIND THAT YOU'RE PRETTY MUCH RIGHT WHERE YOU WERE AND IF YOU LOST ANY MPG'S IT'S FROM THE TIRE SIZE OR ROTATING WEIGHT, NOT FROM THE COLD AIR INTAKE. YES, THE MAF MIGHT WANT TO INCREASE FLOW TO THE INJECTORS, BUT THE COMPUTER WON'T INCREASE IT SIGNIFICANTLY UNLESS YOUR TEMP SENSOR IN YOUR COOLING SYSTEM IS MALFUNCTIONING. SO, CHECK THAT TOO, JUST IN CASE.

Wel the tire size hasn't changed! Beem on 30's for the past 5 months, had the CAI for 3 weeks.
Going to look in to it some more, I filled up yesterday, and have driven it 7 KM and already the needle has moved from the 'F' on the guage. Maybe a leak! but I can't smell anything!
Guess I'll drive the MG for the rest of the week and pick the Sporty apart on the weekend!

che4ck your fuel pump, the stupid nylon fitting at the top is a known source of leaks, this is what was happening to mine after i got it. mileage started to get worse and then finally terrible and i could start smelling gas everytime i got out of the truck.
this is a recall issue in canada.
i am seeing around 300km's every tank now with the 31's so i am guessing that should actually be approx 350 to a tank. and i was getting about 400kms to a tank with the stock tires and the leak.

oh yes, and that is running premium due to the Powerchips ecm also. which cut the mileage down also.

300kms to a tank full! i get that out of half a tank. i only have 235's but thats enough reason for me not to go bigger.thats awful consumption. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

UH, I'VE BEEN GETTING WORSE AND WORSE MILEAGE IN MINE LATELY, BUT IT'S OBVIOUS WHY. WITHOUT DOING THE MATH, I CLOCK AROUND 150 MILES PER TANK. I CAN ONLY FIT ABOUT 12 GALLONS IN THE TANK, WHAT WITH ALL THE DENTS, BUT STILL, THAT'S AROUND 16 MPG (AFTER ALL THE MATH), WHICH I CONSIDER TO BE VERY, VERY GOOD FOR A '95 WITH 150K CLOCKED MILES, AROUND 200K ACTUAL MILES (TIRE SIZE DIFFERENCE), AND PUSHING 38.5" TIRES WITH 5.89 GEARS, THE EXTRA WEIGHT OF DUAL DANA 44'S, STEEL WHEELS, WINCH, BUMPERS, EXTRA HEIGHT/WIND RESISTANCE, ETC.
