You'll have to forgive me as a lot of this goes above my head but the electronics are something I'm familiar with; all the immobiliser does is read the key and send this info to the EMS which then validates it and starts the engine (bit of back and forth but that's about it). I'm assuming you're talking about replacing the EMS for something different? If so just loose the immobiliser and standard EMS and replace with another one which just runs off the ignition switch for starting - of course you loose the security aspects.
