I rolled the Mighty Red Chili. Not so mighty when encountering solid sandstone. No worries, the investment in Traveller's Insurance is proving to be VERY worthwhile (intentional plug!).

This will be a major rebuild. As in new body.

So I need to replace the wheels, and want to go 2.25" or so BS Champion Beadlocks for a slightly wider stance. This means exposed tires unless I change the front fenders, several fiberglass options there.

But what about the rear? The body guy is quite good at enlarged wheel openings on early 4Runners, but doesn't have a lot of ideas for flares or increased tire covering. What works, that would allow a slightly larger wheel opening?

I posted in Moomba's thread (always admired the banana Runner, Moomba!) and the cutout flares are an option, but they won't work so well with a larger wheel opening. The advantage would be replacability in event of damage. But I don't clear chains so well, so a larger wheel opening is kinda needed.
