Need a Spot

Does anybody know how to open the hood of 97 T100 with a broken hood release? I went to open the hood today and the cable is slack and apparently broken. I can't see anything through the grill that will release the latch. Anyone else ever ran into this? Thanks, Jim

Going from memory of my latch
It's dead center, at the front of the hood. The cable comes in from the driver side.
You'd reach in behind the grill, and pull/pry the lever to the drivers side until the hood pops. Then release the secondary latch in the normal manner.
