Getting the Wheeling Fever

Hello;

Purchased the 2004 TJ used, and there is no subwoofer in the center storage unit. I've tried looking on the Mopar and other sites, but they all want to sell me on some new box etc etc. Does anyone know where I can get an OEM model to give me a little more bump to my noise maker without a lot of new wiring, mods, and loss of the little storage space I have left?

bradford, that center console in your tj is aftermarket, the previous owner put that in there and probably took the subwoofer out to use in their new vehicle, you should be able to find a cheap subwoofer at Pep Boys or somewhere like that or you can go with a really good one from like bestbuy but youll be paying a lot of money for it

I think it was an option starting in 2004 model.
It was a standard item on the Rubicon and Willys models:

I have one in my 2003 Rubicon thing sounds like crap it is some off size and a really bad design. Trust me you do not want this thing in your jeep all it does is annoy me I am going to pull it out at some point hopefully not while siting in traffic.

I got the jeep used and it had it in it I wold have never gotten it if I had a bought it new.

Saw one on eBay a while ago. I too am missing the subwoofer in the center console in my 2004 X model. I can see the cut out and the molded design inside the console but no sub with it. If you do find one update the post and let me know.
