Could this mean that it's not TDC? Could I be 360 degrees off? I'm not totally sure I had it at TDC, I had the timing mark on 0 and the number 1 piston was at the it's highest mark but I don't know if it was really at TDC. Did I screw anything up?

Dang! It's her first vehicle and I was so excited to get it running for her. I bought it last summer for $300 and have been working on it when I had time.

Any help or advice would be apprediated.

*But it is pretty easy to bolt the head down with the cam out of time to the short block, this can draw a valve open into a piston.

If the valve gets bent enough, the symptom is backfiring through the intake and...no start...*EB
