Wife's 2001 Volvo uses Bosch replacement filters - I change every 30K since you need NO TOOLS! That's right kiddies - the Swedes figured out how to engineer finger release plastic connectors on the fuel filter tube ends. No soaking in PB for days and no double-tool special-wrench knuckle busting swearing sweating nightmare. That however is the ONLY easy job on the Volvo - everything else is completely non-standard.

I just ordered the Toyota factory fuel filter from Carrol for ~$28. My local tructed mechanic told me not to bother til 100K but after 11 years and 90K I think I better before the threads completely rust out. Tonight will be 3rd PB soaking, wrenches at the ready waiting for filter delivery.

Since they last forever I would spring the $$ for the Toyota filter.
