Did you use the same pushrods from the 4.2 head when installing the new 4.0 head?
My 4.2 head has shoulder bolts any particular reason for shoulder bolts, some have a stem that sticks out the top almost even with the top of the valve cover. I would prefer to you hex head bolts, they LOOK better, any reason not to?Can't find any to buy at Summit or Jegs. Dealer wants $10 each. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

OK I made a mistake, isn't the first time and won't be the last, <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> I meant head studs not shoulder bolts. I want to use head bolts not studs. Use the 4.2 push rods or 4.0 push rods on the 4.0 hean conversiom I have read it both ways but what does the real world say?

If there IS a difference in length the difference would be in the HEAD itself not the block...therefore the push rods that go with the head would be the ones to use.
