I did a quick search and found allot on speedo cables. Anyways I have a 94 ext cab v6 3.0L w/ an electronic speedometer. My speedometer stopped working and I get a code of i believe 42, vehicle speed sensor. Where is it located? On the tail, transfer case, or (?)? Is there anyway to check and see if this is the problem before I buy a new one? Oh ya, the cruise control stopped also. Does the vss control the cruise control? My cruise control works again! Speedometer sensor part# 8318135051 Gear sub-assy, speed part# 3340339315 (this is a 20 tooth gear) Make sure you give the parts person your v.i.n., to make sure you get the correct gear. They told me that my truck should not have a 20 tooth, until they entered my v.i.n.
