Firestorm is the low quaity version of dewalt and of course a lot cheaper. Bateries are a lower amp hour rating as an example. Usaly when firestorms break they are not worth repairing. For the average homeowner hanging the odd curtain rod the stuff is OK. If you can afford it I don't even reccomend Dewalt but rather Makita or Milwaukee. (I'm inthe tool repair business and we are authorized service centre for all the major brands). Also stay away from Depot's "Ridgid" brand. The pricing is not that great and parts and service hard to come by.
