The torque rod should be under no load when the truck is sitting on all 4 tires... I fixed mine by cutting off the one end and welding threaded rod to one end and a nut on the other end that was about 3" long.. now it has some adjustment and will also twist when truck is flexing. I even drilled in a grease fitting so it would work smooth... only cost me about $10 in parts. would have been cheaper if i could have goten the threaded rod by the inch and not a 3 foot section
