Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
I got a cheap derale electric fan from jc whitney and I got it all mounted up but the directions only say attach the positive wire to an ignition controled wire. Problem of it is I can't find one that will power the fan. I tried hooking it up to the accesory wire but it didn't have enough juice to power it. So as of now I just have it hooked straight to the battery and it works fine but the fan continues to run until the coolant cools off enough. My fear is that doing this will wear out my battery. Anybody know of a good wire to hook this fan up to? Thanks guys

I'd think about a relay switch. Hooking up the battery to one side and the fan to the other...then ANY switched wire will turn that switch on. There should be an assortment of these relays at your favorite parts house. Big JIm <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
