Denso is a good brand, they are the only spark plugs I use and wouldnt have a problem with using their o2 sensors.

If you go with splicing in the old connectors I would suggest soldering the splices and covering with heat shrink tubing, you can get it at radio shack pretty cheap (remember to slide the tubing on the wire BEFORE soldering together). That would give you the best connection and least corrosion worries. Also make sure you dont get wires swapped around.
