Brown We are talking about an IMPACT screwdriver. Harbor freight has em for bout $20. Lately I have done all my shopping there. It's only 14/15 minutes from home to their store.

Ok. So it's diff from a hammer drill. When I read it at first I was thinking that it vibrated like a hammer drill to help loosen the screw. But it's just like a impact wrench, just smaller I guess?

Gun it and run it!

It is a heavy duty screwdriver that different bits can be inserted into. One places the bit into the screw and WHACKS the butt end with a BFH! This motion causes the bit to turn about 30* while under the impact of the hammer.
This does two things... First the screw head is depressed into the material it is holding.. which can in itself loosen it. Then it also UNSCREWS the screw 30* while under the strain of the hammer blow.
I rerely use mine but when I have needed it the thing has always come thru for me.

Cool. So pretty much like a hammer drill then, just reverse operation. I could definitely use one of those.

I love the knowledge being spread around.

no not at all like a hammer drill, you don't whack a hammer drill with a BFH. Well you could if you don't mind dropping 180 bucks a whack.

always working
