I've determined that I need lower t-case gears. What options are out there? I've already got tera lows in there... what else can i do?

Swapping the 'Zu tranny/t-case out for a 700R4/D300 with aftermarket 4:1 gears has been done. How low are you wanting to go? Dual 'yota cases has also been done behind the automatics.

and there are those that have stacked another 'zu case (auto tranny divorced tcase) behind their manual, for lower gearing.
Not to mention a marlin crawler setup, although that is a replacement of tranny from the 'zu to a yota

With the skills you have and work that I have seen on your truck, I would just try the dual isuzu case set up and see if that is low enough for you. I picked up an auto t case for $100 and the metal, bushings etc involved mostly came from a scrap bin ran under $50. The aluminum welding/tig was all done by my brother. I am sure someone around the fire house can tig for you. The spendy part was the drive shafts for mine.

My buddy stuck a divorced np205 behind his stock setup. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> seems like a lot of overkill and weight to shove behind a stock setup, you won't ever come close to needing all that strength. there are probably lighter divorced cases with better low range you could apply this same principle too. -Rob

This is true, but he got a good deal on it and now he never has to worry about it again. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> But there are definitely lighter t-cases that can be had.

Humm... humm.... Theres some options out there. I'm very intregued with this dual isuzu t-case option. I have a manual, so your runing an auto t-case with it? humm... any kind of write up on this bad boy?
ps- i'm running 5:38's
