Actually it may be the one exception since seatbelt legislation of the era was mainly a U.S. thing. Pretty sure another thread on here mentioned it being a non-metric thread as well.


That is correct. It's not metric. Drive's me nuts every time I remove the ones I have in there.
I don't know what the bolt shaft size is, but it's a 5/8" head. I don't know what the thread pitch is, but it's damn close to 1.25mm, as an M10 1.25 (***** 14mm head bolt) will thread into it ok but is too loose to hold. That should be enough info to work backwards on...
Same bolt holding the rear lap belts in place too. only an option on American versions, so were re-rooled just for here. How annoying.

On this note (not to hijack) I'd actually prefer to have shoulder belts for the rear but never actually seen any. Does anybody carry these?
