Where are you looking, local paper, or somewhere online like Autotrader.com?

I personally have only seen MTs on 92s and 95-96. According to the things I have seen/read, 96 was the last year.

I got mine three or four years ago now. Two years before that I looked for a bit and ended up with a 92 AT. Then I got the bug again for the MT and started a new effort. I looked for over two months, during which time I only found a few through Autotrader, and none that I wanted to move on. Then the one I now have appeared and I bought it that day.

I have seen a few 95s in general, and only once a 96. My preference was for those years as I wanted the 24V SOHC motor.

And speaking of that, OldColt. You seem to be pretty knowledgeable, and well equipped. From my [very] amateur observations, the 24V 3.0 seems to be far more alike to the 3.5 than it is to the 12V 3.0.

I know the AT 24V uses the bigger t-case from the SR. (Ask one of the guys here who got 2.85s only to learn they didn't fit. It seems Oz never got the 24V, so no one knew.) I think the tranny might bolt to a 3.5. IIRC, I did a CAPS review and found the same bellhousings, but I don't think I found details on the shafts.

Something to think about...
