Replaced my brake lines when I put the lift on and ever since I've had brake problems. I've bled them half a dozen times and currently get no air out when I bleed. The brake pedal will start out hard, than slowly sink, I pump it and it gets hard again, but if I hold it down, it will eventually sink to the floor. Time to replace the master cylinder?

Did you run the master cylinder out of fluid? If so, you need to bleed the master.

Is this the way you are bleeding them. If yes, then your MC maybe shot.

Master Cylinder. Had virtually no brakes on the way home from work today, pedal went to the floor at every stop, so just stopped by Napa and bought one. I must say that's one of the easiest repairs I've ever done. Never done it before, took maybe 30 mins. using a bench bleader kit. Thanks for all the input.

Did you use the "old style" bench bleeder kit where it has the lines that run out of the side and into the reservoir? Or the "new" style where you plug the holes and watch for bubbles inside the reservoir? We have been using the "new" style at work and it takes forever to get rid of all the bubbles.

It was the old style with the lines feeding back into the reservoir. Worked like a champ!
