Great thread. If some of you are still having problems, the TPS as metioned can cause similar syptoms, usually weird starting/high idle and surging at about 2500-3000rpm when cruising in the freeway. If your TPS is the three wire style they are prone to failure more so than the four wire and may be worth replacing. Once replaced, remove your negative battery cable-sometimes for as long as 5 min.- to reset your computer so it's starts from scratch and doesn't use old stored info to run.
