Getting the Wheeling Fever
OME states that only lithium molybdenum disulphide grease can be used on their poly bushings. Does anyone know why? What would happen if one used synthetic grease or Anti-Seize?

Thanks.

I very much doubt a whole would happen. No grease would be worse.

For the extra few bucks I use moly grease front to back on the u-joint and front end. I think its got to do with heat and melting point of the grease, any how in Canada it costs me about $2 more fore a grease job all the way around using a far superior grease. Even use it in my front hubs and anywhere else you need grease. Don't be a cheap skate with this one.

Didn't read your post all the way. DO NOT USE ANTI SEIZE ON BEARING ETC. Anti seize is for bolts etc not to seize not for high speed bearings etc. I have heard of people using anti seize for building engines etc. Anti seize has metal particals in it (usually copper). Anti seize for bearings

x2 on high speed bearings, but I believe he's talking about suspension bushings -- I've used anti-seize on anti-sway bar bushings for years -- the only consistently reliable way to keep them from squeaking. Regular grease seems to squeeze/wash out much sooner. Anti-seize seems to lubricate them just fine, and lasts almost forever.

Most anything works fine on polyurethane bushings. I usually run a graphite loaded wheel bearing grease as I find that over time the graphite tends to stay in the bushing and help keep down the squeaks.

Yeah, I wasn't referring to bearings! Rubber and Poly bushings!

On rubber bushings, you only want to use something like silicone grease. Most petroleum-based greases will soften and damage the rubber bushing material.
