Maybe it's just me but i can read my posts or anyone else that i talk online. They never use it and i read it just fine. I'll try a little harder guys to me this is the internet nothings prefect. Capn i know your in Colorado do you know where maybe i could find the part I'm in dire need of. Do you have any junkyards in the springs u could pull it for me and ship i'd pay even a lil more for the help. Seriously all my friends do not help me out there assholes. It's impossible for me to get to a junkyard and the part out. I work nights meaning i sleep till about 3 4 5 pm till 4 am i work 7days a week. Bus ride to a junkyard i know nothing about and a truck thats been an adventure to where it at now leaves me hopeless

Hey, some punctuation and capitol letters!!! Even if used inconsistantly. There is no such thing as perfect on the earth; elsewhere is still another debate I'm not going to begin. However, the internet does bring several things closer, just look at Wikipedia and BangedUp.com (only if you're over 18 and can handle the weird, sickening and sensational).

We all work. We all have friends/acqaintances that aren't worth the air plants make for them to breath. We all have excuses we make. There is always hope.

I hope my Raider continues to give excellent service. It's far and away the best vehicle I've owned. It could use more power, better brakes, and return more fuel mileage, but we can't complain too much. I hope my wife's new 4-door doesn't turn out to be too difficult to get operable. I hope someone buys the 2 Monteros I have for sale. But these are small hopes that matter only to me.

I hope the folly of national governments fighting over territory, differences in religious views and the resultant deaths, etc. ad infinitum are resolved. So many folks die over issues they are not part of directly. These are real hopes with consequence.

Keeping machinery operable is not always an easy task. You already know nothing is for free. Have you contacted the other folks posting up for parts yet? As Capn' said, we care. I have received invaluable help from this board and I'm thankful for it. I am involved with the board on a near daily basis because of the same thing that brought you here....HELP!! We understand.

Thanks for the effort, blackmage. We very much appreciate it. Please keep up the good work. That was much easier to read. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Where do you live? I'll see what I can do to help you out.

I live in Commerce City Capn. I haven't lost all hope in the Raider. I know its going to be the machine no one expects to do good. Next year i wanted to buy a newer one 2nd gen 4door or maybe a 2000 was gonna look into around then. But it looks to be fun as my first 5 speed and suv.

I looked on rock auto couldn't find valve reed assembly or anything is there another name for it?

Its also known as an S.A.S. valve. I bypassed my valve and still passed emmissions. I used an aftermarket header, and never told the mechanic it wasn't OEM. I tuned it up 2 hours before my test. I passed with flying colours.

always working

Does your emissions test include a dyno test? The Denver-area emissions test does.

Fortunately for me, Colorado Springs did away with emissions tests this last January 1st. Although, a year ago my Montero had an emissions test and passed with flying colors. My engine components are all OEM.
