Hi guys, working on pulling my 22re engine out of my truck. I believe I have everything disconnected and am trying to pull the engine out from the transmission. I can't seem to get the engine to slip out from the transmission. I can see gaps forming along the edges, but it won't seem to slip out. Is this normal for them to be this stuck together? It's never happened to me before. Thanks for any help,

Dan

>>>*One thing to remember when pulling any engine is to get everything into alignment. The amount of friction that can be set up by just the input shaft is amazing.
I have had literally hundreds that felt locked up tight, and a good SHAKE or lifting/lowering of the hoist and without fail they almost fall forward.

Of course there WAS one! A 292" engine in a 1956 Ford (don't ask how old I was).....

My bu**head brother and I worked on it for almost an entire day, finally let's just say he was pi**ed off. He went and got our dad's 1948 Farmall tractor, hooked up the chain and hauled the engine out.

It came, too, along with a piece of the bell housing with the bolt we missed still attached.

*LOL**...Best the shake it loose....*EB

*Beats the he** outa me!....*LOL**...
