with the engine warmed up,shut it off and take the valve cover off.then you can turn the crank so that the valve you are working on is closed(not on the lobe).intake is .006 and exhaust is .010 but i always use .009.then i just keep turning the crank and checking what ever valve that is closed at the time till all of them are done.then put your valve cover back on.
