i was thinkin about leavin the stock rear springs in, or swappin the springs to below the axle with add-a-leafs, for a softer ride while retaining the ride height. How would this give you a softer ride? You've got the same highly arched spring supporting the same weight and it will be responding to the same road conditions. There's nothing about having the axle above the spring that will give you a better ride relative to placement below the axle.
