Greetings,

The 6G72 block has been used for everything from our
tough Montero's to the ubiquitous Dodge Caravan's.
It's in 3000GT's and Hundai's. My question to this
learned and experienced group is what blocks are the same
or can be readily modified to be switched.

My current problem is that my 1995 Montero SR 24V SOHC
3.0 has a cracked block (Wife ran it without coolent)<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />,
while I was at sea. I had the heads rebuilt only to find
block crack afterward. So, I'm looking for a 6G72 Montero
core to rebuild and they are scarce as hen's teeth here in
Oregon. Anybody have some hands on knowledge to share. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />???
